Dear colleagues, the seventh meeting of Moscow Business Toastmasters (MBT) will take place this Thursday, October 3rd at the offices of Platform for National Technology Initiative.

Investing wisely is an important part of our lives. We take decision every day that shape our future and if you are running a business the cost might be bigger. We know some stories that didn’t have a happy ending. We can recall one of the biggest business fails in this era. Once Blockbuster was one of the biggest providers of home movie and video game rental services through a video rental shop. They had the opportunity to buy Netflix for 50 million $ and they thought it was a joke. The story didn’t end up well for Blockbuster in 2010 they declared bankrupt. Some executives might have nightmares considering that decision.  Let’s be a little more conservative and imagine that we won 1 million $ or we were saving this money for year. Which is the next step to get the most out of it?

Investing is a useful way to make your money work for you. As the famous writer Robert Kiyosaki, author of the Rich Dad – Poor Dad, said: “Don’t work for money, let the money work for you”.  It is important to mention that it might be difficult to get to that from the beginning but eventually this must be our aim.
